JICS students earn top five finishes in South Carolina Independent Schools Regional Spelling Bee!

Please join us in congratulating the JICS representatives to the South Carolina Independent School Regional Spelling Bee!  It was a day of peculiar words with even more peculiar spellings.  All of our Lions competed with good sportsmanship and grace.  Plus, we had several Top 5 finishers:

  • Jack McLeod took 5th place in the 5th grade (out of 16 contestants)
  • Isaac Palmer took 4th place in the 6th grade  (out of 16 contestants)
  • Rhame Honeycutt took 5th place in the 8th grade (out of 15 contestants)

And special congratulations to Lydia English, who was a top finalist in the 7th grade division and is headed to the South Carolina Independent School State Spelling Bee!
